DQAC Dental Continuing Competency Committee Meeting

The DQAC Committee will discuss whether to accept the Southern Regional Testing Agency comprehensive treatment planning and diagnostic skills examination section as acceptable clinical examination.

Additionally, at the July 28, 2023 Business meeting, DQAC received a letter from an applicant asking DQAC to approve the applicant to take the ADEX exam. DQAC does not have the authority to grant applicants permission to take an exam, and the applicant has not satisfied other requirements for WA dental licensure. To clarify this, the Committee will begin looking at drafting a policy statement for WAC 246-817-160 (2) (Graduates of Nonaccredited Schools), which states “Upon completion of the requirements in subsection (1)(a) through (c) of this section, an applicant may be eligible to take the practical examination as approved in WAC 246-817-120 (2) through (4).”
