Meet CE Requirements at PNDC 2024
Washington dentists must complete 63 hours of continuing education every three years. Don't wait to start earning your CE — earn 20+ credits (nearly a year's worth of CE) in just three days at PNDC 2024! Plus, fulfill various CE requirements you may need to renew your license.

DEA MATE Act
Prescribers of controlled substances, including dentists, must complete eight hours of one-time training on safely prescribing controlled substances (Schedules II, III, IV, and/or V) in order to receive or renew their registration with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

Health Equity
Beginning January 1, 2024, licensed dentists must complete two hours of health equity CE every three years, in alignment with license renewal timelines. The two hours will count toward the 63-hour renewal requirement.
Lecture Meeting Requirement:
Minimal & Moderate Sedation
Licensed Washington dentists who administer minimal sedation must complete seven hours of CE every five years and dentists who administer moderate sedation with enteral agents must complete seven hours of CE every three years.*

* Please note: Moderate sedation with parenteral agents, pediatric sedation and general anesthesia permitholders are subject to more intensive requirements. Learn more about requirements for all levels of anesthesia here.
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Dental staff providing direct patient care in an in-office or outpatient setting must hold a current and valid healthcare provider basic life support (BLS) certification, which must include both didactic and in-person hands-on components. Certification is good for two years.

- 3 Credits - Basic Life Support Training for Healthcare Providers (Cole) Friday
